Polyculture design tool for vegetables that combines rule-based and evidence-based approaches

Pavlo will present an instrument for designing polycultures with vegetables, leafy greens, and spice and aromatic crops that combines rule-based and evidence-based approaches. He will also invite you to co-develop this tool and to join field trials for participatory development and validation of vegetable polyculture systems for greenhouse cultivation.

Pavlo Ardanov is co-founder of the NGO "Permaculture in Ukraine", researcher and university lecturer. He is developing a tool and a participatory methodology for designing crop polycultures (simultaneous cultivation of different crops on the same plot).
He teaches the course "Agrobiodiversity and Design of Crop Polycultures" at the master's program "Constructive Ecology and Permaculture" at the University “Ukraine”.
