The potential of food growing in small spaces to change our cities

::  small spaces  ::  urban  ::  community  ::

Mark will look at what is possible in a small space and how it can change our relationship with nature, our local community and of what we eat.

More Details

Mark founded Vertical Veg after he discovered he could grow £900 of food on his balcony and window sills in one year. Vertical Veg exists to make urban food growing relevant and accessible to those who only have access to a balcony, patio or other small piece of concrete to grow on at home.

Mark is author of the Vertical Veg Guide to Container Gardening which won the 2022 Garden Media Guild Award for best practical gardening book.

He also runs the Vertical Veg blog and Facebook Page, delivers workshops online and across the UK, and has appeared on National TV, radio and written a series for the Guardian newspaper.
